Three steps, zero hassle — for you and for your attendees.
At the entrance or on their seat, each attendee scans a simple QR code with their smartphone camera. No app to download, no account to create.
A page opens in the phone's browser. The attendee selects their language among those you chose for the event: English, Spanish, German, Arabic, Chinese… and many more.
The translation arrives instantly: as audio in their earphones, or as captions displayed on their screen. Latency is just a few seconds.
Every assignment is configured to measure: languages, audio or captions, venue size, duration.
Compare for yourself what a traditional setup costs versus our smartphone solution.
Everything you need to know before choosing smartphone-based simultaneous translation for your event.
It is a service that instantly translates what is being said on stage or in a meeting, and streams that translation directly to each attendee's smartphone. Everyone picks their language and format: listening to the audio translation in their earphones, or reading it as captions on their screen. Everything runs in the phone's browser, with no app to install.
Yes — and it is the heart of what we do: SV Interactive is the AI division of SOGEDICOM, entirely dedicated to artificial intelligence solutions for translation. We use the most advanced AI speech-recognition and translation models available, configured specifically for each event. This AI is what makes it possible to offer dozens of languages simultaneously, within seconds, at a cost incomparable with traditional interpreting.
SV Interactive does not rely on a single rigid solution, but on a hybrid architecture built on the most capable AI models on the market. Depending on the language combination and the required latency, our system dynamically switches between the OpenAI Realtime API (for ultra-low-latency voice fluidity), Google Gemini (for its contextual understanding of long speeches), and Microsoft Translator (for its excellent handling of industrial and corporate terminology).
No — and that is one of the great strengths of the service. The attendee scans a QR code with their phone camera, a web page opens, they pick their language, and that's it. No download, no account, no personal data to enter. Even people who are not comfortable with technology manage it in seconds.
Dozens of languages are available, including English, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, Dutch, Polish, Turkish and many more. You choose the languages offered to your attendees when preparing the event, and a large number can be offered simultaneously without exponential extra costs.
Latency is only a few seconds. Attendees follow the presentation almost simultaneously, whether in audio or captions. For a speech, a conference or a training session, this slight delay is imperceptible in the listening experience. You can see for yourself with the live demonstration at the top of this page.
Yes. We use the most advanced speech-recognition and translation technologies on the market, configured specifically for your event: industry vocabulary, proper nouns, acronyms and technical terms can be prepared in advance to maximise accuracy. A technician supervises the service to guarantee quality end to end.
This is one of the great advantages of our LLM-based (Large Language Models) solution. Ahead of your event, we can "build a context" (prompt-engineering and customised glossaries). We inject your industry lexicons, product names, acronyms or speaker lists directly into the AI. The algorithm then instantly recognises your specific technical terms and translates them with a precision impossible to achieve with conventional machine translators.
Every event is different: we adapt the languages offered, the format (audio, captions or both), the preparation of your sector-specific vocabulary, the branding of the page your attendees see, and the technical setup to the size of your venue — from a small committee room to the Grand Rex.
Yes, absolutely. Since the entire audio stream is processed in real time by our speech-recognition and translation engines, we can provide, on request, the full text transcripts of your event (in the original language and in every translated language). It is an invaluable resource for writing your minutes and reports, or for subtitling your future replay videos.
Yes, perfectly. The service works on all iPhones, recent or older, through the Safari browser. Attendees simply scan the QR code with the camera: the translation page opens automatically. AirPods and all Bluetooth or wired earphones are compatible for audio listening.
Yes. Every Android smartphone is compatible: Samsung Galaxy, Xiaomi, Google Pixel, Huawei, Honor, Oppo, OnePlus, Motorola, Sony, realme, Vivo, Nothing… The service runs in the browser (Chrome, Samsung Internet, Firefox or any other), so there is no brand or model restriction, including entry-level phones.
No. Any phone able to open a web page and play audio works, which covers virtually every smartphone in circulation, even older ones. That is the advantage of a web-based solution: no app version requirements, no updates to install.
Yes. The translation page opens on any device with a browser: iPads, Android tablets, laptops — and even venue screens, if you wish to project the captions for the whole audience.
Any of them: Bluetooth earphones (AirPods, Galaxy Buds and all the others), wireless headsets or classic wired earphones. Attendees simply use their own earphones — the ones already in their pocket. Spare earphones can be provided on request for those who don't have any.
A connection is needed: the attendee's 4G/5G is sufficient in most venues. For crowded or poorly covered locations, we can deploy a dedicated Wi-Fi network for the translation, sized for the number of attendees, to guarantee smooth streaming whatever the local mobile coverage.
Very little. The translation audio stream is light, comparable to listening to a web radio: a few dozen megabytes per hour at most, and even less for captions only. As for battery, a two-hour conference uses a reasonable amount of charge, like any audio listening.
Absolutely — it is our home turf. The setup scales to venues of several thousand seats, such as the Grand Rex in Paris where we will be present in 2026. The larger and more multilingual the audience, the more spectacular the savings compared with handing out thousands of radio receivers.
Yes. International companies use it for their conventions, kick-offs, town halls and seminars where teams from several countries come together. Each employee follows the talks in their own language, which boosts attention, understanding and inclusion.
Yes. Shareholder, co-owner or association general assemblies, and works council meetings of international groups, are frequent use cases: the topics matter and everyone must understand precisely what is said and voted.
Yes, and it is a fast-growing use. Churches, mosques, synagogues and temples often welcome worshippers speaking different languages: each can follow the sermon, the service or the teaching in their own language, every week, with a discreet setup and no equipment to distribute.
Yes. The guide speaks normally, and each visitor hears the translation in their own language on their own phone. It is a modern alternative to group audio guides: no devices to charge, hand out and sanitize, and as many languages as needed within the same group.
Yes. Real-time captioning on smartphones lets foreign spectators follow a play, a stand-up show or a ceremony in their language, discreetly, with the screen dimmed. It is also a powerful tool for festivals opening up to international audiences.
Yes, and it is a major benefit: real-time captioning makes your event accessible to deaf and hard-of-hearing attendees, including in the speaker's original language. You meet accessibility requirements while improving comfort for everyone, with no additional device.
Yes. The translation can be streamed both to attendees in the room and to those following remotely. Online participants receive the same link and choose their language exactly as in the venue.
Yes. When two families don't speak the same language, real-time translation of the speeches, the ceremony and the toasts lets everyone fully live the moment. The setup is discreet and very simple to put in place.
Yes. City councils, public debates, twinning events, foreign delegations, diplomatic or community events: the solution welcomes multilingual audiences without the burden of a traditional interpreting setup, with captioning as a bonus for accessibility.
Pricing is tailor-made based on three main criteria: the number of attendees, the number of languages offered and the duration of the event. Ask for a free quote: you will receive a clear, no-obligation estimate adapted to your event.
Traditional interpreting stacks up heavy costs: soundproof booths to install, a pair of interpreters per language, hundreds or thousands of rented radio receivers, staff to hand them out and collect them. Our solution removes all the receiving equipment: each attendee uses their own smartphone. Adding a language does not require another booth and two more interpreters, which finally makes multilingual events affordable — savings can reach a factor of ten on large multilingual events.
No, and that is a key difference with booth interpreting. Going from two to six languages does not triple the budget: the extra cost per additional language is small. You can offer your audience a truly international experience without blowing up the budget.
None. The service is fully covered by the organiser. Attendees install nothing, pay nothing and create no account; they only use a very small amount of mobile data — or none at all if Wi-Fi is provided.
The technical setup on the day is fast: a quality audio feed from the existing sound system and the service is up and running. To prepare your event properly (languages, specific vocabulary, branded page, printed QR codes), we recommend contacting us at least one to two weeks before the date; shorter lead times often remain possible.
Yes. Streams are encrypted, access to the translation is restricted to people holding your event's link or QR code, and no personal data is requested from attendees. Processing is GDPR-compliant, and specific arrangements can be made for sensitive events.
A technician supervises the service and continuously monitors sound, translation and streaming quality. In case of any issue, they step in immediately. Our setup includes redundancies so that your event runs smoothly.
